Founded by Fund Manager Dale Johnson, Lynmar Entertainment is a film finance and production company with offices and associates in L.A., Michigan, Alberta, Canada, Beijing and Sydney, Australia. We finance and produce feature-length, theatrical motion pictures with commercial appeal that are intended for distribution and release to a global audience. Lynmar has a slate of feature-length films in development, focusing on the company’s commitment to film-making excellence with authentic storytelling. Lynmar oversees both financing and actively manages each stage of production, including development, pre-production, production, post-production, and worldwide distribution. We work for investors as their ambassador using banking disciplines, strong deal documentation, and top-tier Hollywood relationships to deliver strong projects and minimize the risk associated with the film industry.

Dale is recognized as one of the most active financiers in independent film today. He has overseen the due diligence and negotiation of a variety of different film financing structures, including Independent film loans, P&A facilities and Major Studio co-financings. He has worked closely with both the investors and companies he has invested in, and is skilled in seeking out deals and managing complex transactions across many global jurisdictions.
He has received extensive training from film banking expert Lew Horwitz. As Chief Executive of LYNMAR Entertainment, Dale also oversees the operations of film financing subsidiaries MICA Entertainment and LYNMAR Films. Dale is knowledgeable in Limited Partnership structures used by Institutional Investors. He has been responsible for overseeing a wide variety of fund management duties including investor reporting, capital calls and distributions, financial modeling, due diligence, and the implementing of back office systems for managing portfolio loans and investments.
Dale’s recent projects include “Lost City of Z”, co-produced with Brad Pitt’s company Plan B; “Pawn Sacrifice”, directed by Academy Award winning producer Ed Zwick and starring Tobey Maguire, Liev Schreiber and Peter Sarsgaard. Other projects include “Stuck in Love”, starring Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Lily Collins and Logan Lerman; the comedy “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn”, starring Robin Williams and Mila Kunis; the thriller “Mojave”, directed and written by Academy Award- winning writer, Bill Monahan, starring Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund; “Man on Carrion Road”, starring Patrick Wilson; Mike Flanagan’s suspense thriller “OCULUS”; and supernatural thriller “Somnia” starring Kate Bosworth and Jacob Tremblay.
Dale is currently an official advisor of Hanhai Studio, the first pioneering Hollywood-Chinese creative production and technology incubator in the U.S with aims to create a zero-distance platform between Chinese creative production companies with Hollywood through regular training, incubation, and investment.
